Traveling Art Exhibit Turns Heads

On April 1 and 2, a seemingly impromptu art exhibit appeared in the Briscoe Building, entitled, Defenestration Traveling Art Show. Jay Hill coordinated the show featuring his own work and the work of Paul Lundstrom and Andy Grode. The industrial space of a 100-year-old building provided just the right amount of grunge and style for this provocative art. Art was only available for viewing and purchasing from 7:00 – 9:00 PM both nights. Then the show disappeared. Many pieces were sold to area collectors and enthusiasts. This “Adult Only Show” was a success, says Hill, and he hopes to attract more artists to participate in future exhibits. // — Troy McQuillen
