Pole Dancing at Aerial Arts Builds Confidence

Avery

Pole dancing is increasingly becoming a common workout that tones the whole body. These women work to shatter the stigma of the activity.

The public often views pole dancing in a negative light. Dayna Magee believes “Learning pole isn’t just about cool tricks and getting physically stronger. It’s also about building confidence in yourself. It’s about being part of a supportive community. This is a group of like-minded people.” Ending the stigma surrounding pole is something she works towards by offering pole classes to the public. She established her own studio in 2014 and expanded it in 2016. Dayna has been teaching pole classes to groups and individuals for a while. She offers a variety of classes from pole fit, open pole, and even classes for kids to learn fitness. // — Karlie Spiry
