ACT Presents ‘Triple Bypass’

Triple Bypass PosterOne Day Play ‘Triple Bypass’ is scheduled for Sunday, March 13.

ACT and Hardly Working Promotions present “Triple Bypass,” a one-day, special matinee performance, March 13th at 2:30pm at the Capitol Theatre, 415 S. Main Street. Scripted by local playwright Deena Ronayne, “Triple Bypass” is comprised of three 10-minute plays about living for death, and dying for life.

Seating for this special production is by general admission. Tickets are $12 in advance and $16 at the door, available starting at 10:00am Tuesday, March 1st. Patrons may purchase tickets online at AberdeenCommunityTheatre.com, in person at Riddle’s Jewelry, or by phone at (605) 225-2228.Originally written for online festivals in 2021, the award-winning trilogy includes a drama, a “fan fiction,” and a comedy. Together, the three pieces take audiences on a wide-ranging emotional journey ranging from fear and hate (“Seeking Dignity”), to empathy and compassion (“Fade To Black”), and delight and hilarity (“Tango-ed Web”).

ACT and Hardly Working Promotions presented “Triple Bypass” as an online-only production during the theater’s pandemic shutdown.

“Triple Bypass” was “Most Viewed Show” at Elgin Virtual Winter Mini Fest and won the “Spirit of Fringe-Never in a Box” award and the “Producers’ Award” at Front Row Fringe.

Audiences are advised that this production is recommended for mature audiences. Elements of the content portray scenarios such as abuse, illness and addiction which may be disturbing to some audience members.
