LITTLE DIPPER HAS BEEN A STAPLE in Aberdeen since the Lakewood Mall days, and though ownership has changed hands a few times since then, Little Dipper is still serving up ice cream and other delicacies.
Kellye Jensen runs Little Dipper with her family, Scott, Tyler, and Theresa Jensen. They purchased the restaurant about a month and a half before they reopened on July 14.
Little Dipper’s new menu features many familiar favorites, but Jensen said that they added quite a few new food options, including a kid’s menu. Some menu items are completely homemade, including their cookies, barbeque meat, and taco meat.

Jensen said that they don’t offer boba anymore, but they have been thinking about introducing new drink options like dirty sodas.
Little Dipper is open seven days a week. They are open from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturdays, and 12:00 to 5:00 PM on Sundays.

Ham Double Cheese Panini
Little Dipper is famous for its ice cream, but their meal options are also worth checking out. Their ham double cheese panini is made with deli ham, creamy butter, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese on fresh ciabatta bread. All of their panini sandwiches and wraps can be upgraded to a meal with chips and a fountain drink. We were super impressed with how fast our food was prepared! The panini was delicious and filling, and it is a great option for a quick lunch.
Chicken Caesar Wrap
The next thing we tried was the chicken caesar wrap, made with grilled chicken, mozzarella cheese, lettuce, and caesar dressing. The wrap was nice and warm and pleasantly filling. Their sandwiches and wraps are also served with a pickle, which is always a welcome addition. This wrap was light and refreshing, and it is just the thing to hit the spot after a long day of shopping.
Iced Vanilla Latte and Blended White Chocolate Latte
I’ve always enjoyed the drink selection at Little Dipper, so of course we had to try a couple different options. One of the first things I noticed about my drink was that there was a perfect blend between the added vanilla and the flavor of the coffee itself, which is something you don’t always see. The blended coffee was also delicious, because who doesn’t love a little caffeine with their sweet drink fix?

Pretzel with Nacho Cheese
What’s not to love about a pretzel? Little Dipper’s pretzels are served with nacho cheese and salt, and both can be removed if you prefer a plain pretzel experience. It was a nice little snack to have with our other meal options, and if you’re dining with any picky eaters, they will have this familiar classic to fall back on.
Mango Smoothie
Right before we left, I noticed a sign advertising their smoothies, so I had to go back and have a taste myself. I ordered a mango smoothie, and it was just the thing to finish off our meal…
Our Picks
Annie Scott: I’ve always loved visiting Little Dipper, though in the past it was mostly for ice cream. Their sandwiches really hit the spot if you’re looking for a quick lunch or a little pick-me up after a day of shopping. I ordered the chicken caesar wrap for myself, but I ended up stealing the other half of the ham double cheese panini since it ended up being one of my favorite things we tried. I also enjoyed the drinks that we ordered. Little Dipper’s coffee is delicious and I can’t wait to try some of their other flavors.
Anna Jahraus: With the wide selection of foods offered at Little Dipper, it was hard to decide what to order. I ended up choosing the ham and cheese panini meal with chips, pickle spear and a fountain pop. I also ordered the white chocolate blended ice coffee. The ham and cheese came out hot and grilled to perfection, a classic, tasty panini. The coffee was refreshing. The white chocolate didn’t crowd the coffee flavor. I will definitely be stopping by again on my next trip to the mall
