Bailey and Carter’s happily-ever-after started at South Dakota State University where Carter attended college. Three years later, Carter, Bailey, and Bailey’s daughter, Sutton, spent a day in Sioux Falls visiting the butterfly museum and various parks around the city.
“Our last stop was at Falls Park where Carter gave Sutton and I a hug and told us how much he loves us and wanted to spend the rest of his life with us,” Bailey explained. While Carter got down on one knee to ask Bailey to marry him, he extended this special gesture to Sutton and gave her a necklace and picture.
The Klapperichs found various ways on their wedding day to create moments as intimate as their engagement even with their large guest list of around 400 family and friends. During the ceremony, the couple took time to acknowledge the love and sacrifice of their mothers by presenting them both with a rose.
The love for family is a value that both Bailey and Carter hold close to their hearts. Coincidentally, their wedding date landed on the anniversary of Carter’s parents, and the pair dedicated a song to them during the reception. The newlyweds, Carter’s parents, and Carter’s sister and her boyfriend shared that moment together on the dance floor.
The modern-style wedding boasted neutral colors, greenery, and a dusty blue accent. The charm of the venue at Shanty Haven in Redfield elevated the elegance, and the couple was able to celebrate the beginning of their marriage surrounded by an abundance of love under the twinkle of fairy lights. //
