On the day that Makenna and Adam Farner were engaged, they were flying high with their love for each other. Literally. Adam is a pilot and asked Makenna to go for a flight later in the day, nothing out of the ordinary for the couple. When they landed, Makenna walked around to the front of the plane where Adam was on one knee, waiting to ask her to spend the rest of her life with him.4H0A0194

The sweet surprise was only the beginning of Makenna and Adam’s path to marriage. Because Makenna is an avid planner, she oversaw the entire process and tried to prepare for every possible element down to the smallest detail. The newlyweds even served sandwiches and chips at 10:30 that night to take care of their guests and keep them fueled during the dance. The Farners wanted to make sure they could truly relax with their friends and family and embrace every second of their wedding day.

When planning for their wedding, the couple didn’t want their colors and decorations to outdo the purpose of their celebration. Makenna and Adam selected a simply elegant style with charcoal gray tuxes, mauve and blush dresses, and a gold accent to elevate the pieces adorning the tables.

The first look was one of Makenna and Adam’s favorite memories from the day because they were able to finally see each other after an entire morning of waiting. The couple shared an intimate moment together before celebrating their marriage with their friends and family.

“We just love each other so much, and we were so excited to become husband and wife. We’ve started a beautiful life together, and we are just getting started!” Makenna said. //

Advice from the Couple

  1. Get everything planned and ordered for the wedding one and a half months before your wedding. Then, get all your last-minute things done two weeks before your wedding. That way, you and your family can enjoy the last two weeks! Your wedding shouldn’t be stressful for you or your family.
  2. Don’t forget to eat and drink plenty of water. The day goes by so fast that it’s easy to forget.
  3. Remember that at the end of the day, you will be married, and that’s what it’s about. Take as many moments in as you can! It all goes by so fast.
